Mrs. Linda Jean Zellner Banks was born on November 19, 1950, to the late Betty Jean Zellner and was lovingly raised in the home of the late Morris and Mattie Jackson.
On May 20, 2026, Linda peacefully transitioned from her earthly journey into the presence of the Lord, surrounded by her loving family at home.
Linda grew up in Lamar County, Georgia, where she attended local schools. At an early age, she confessed her faith in Christ and joined the church. Throughout her life, Linda was known as a dedicated and hardworking woman who held various professional positions within her local community. However, her greatest joy came from caring for and nurturing her family. She deeply treasured the time spent with her loved ones and valued the strong bonds they shared.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved mother; the parents who lovingly raised her, Morris and Mattie Jackson; her dear siblings, Johnny Zellner, Bobby Zellner, Larry Zellner, Carlos Jackson, Elaine Zellner, Norris Zellner, and Marsha Shotomide; her devoted mother-in-law, Henrietta Banks; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sammy Banks and Anita Banks.
Her love, warmth, and enduring spirit will forever live on through the generations she leaves behind. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted husband, B.J. Banks; five loving children, Linda Hayden (James), Eldridge Banks (Susan), Sharon Banks, Melody Ringer (Carl), and Adrian Banks (Meyoun).
She is also survived by her siblings: Nancy Holloway, Joanne Zellner, Judy Johnson (Tommy), and Vicki Jackson, all of Barnesville, GA; Robert L. Zellner and Curtis Jackson of Griffin, GA; and John Wesley Jackson and Betty Jean Jackson of Atlanta, GA.
Her sisters-in-law include Betty Oneal, Barbara Ann Harris, Charlotte McClendon, and Linda Edge, all of Barnesville, GA, and Juanita Taylor of Griffin, GA. Her brothers-in-law include Tony Banks and Alonzo Banks, both of Barnesville, GA.
Linda also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members, along with her devoted lifelong friend, Pearl Jones, and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory always.
