OFFICIAL NOTICE OF TRANSITION: In Honored Memory of Pastor Gwendolyn L. Williams of Valdosta, Georgia October 31, 1957 – June 12, 2026.
It is with profound sorrow, deep reverence, and abiding faith, that our staff stand hand and hand with this loving family to announce the earthly transition of:
Pastor Gwendolyn L. Williams, who entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 12, 2026. A devoted co-pastor, beloved wife, cherished mother, and faithful servant of God, Pastor Gwen lived a life marked by grace, strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the people she so dearly loved and served.
Her presence was a blessing, her voice carried power, wisdom, and her walk reflected the beauty of a life surrendered to the Lord. Though this transition leaves a solemn quiet in the hearts and home of all who knew her, her memory stands with dignity, and her legacy remains powerful, enduring, and deeply honored.
“She is not gone; she is resting in the presence of the King she faithfully served.”
As Scripture reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13,“We do not grieve as those who have no hope.” Pastor Gwen was a woman of faith whose life bore witness to the truth of Proverbs 31:30: “A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Her beauty was not only seen, but felt in her ministry, in her love, and in the steadfast spirit with which she touched countless lives.
Bishop Henry R Williams and family is held in the highest esteem, and during this sacred hour, it is with honor and heartfelt respect that this notice is shared on behalf of a family whose legacy of faith, character, and service has blessed so many. Their grief is met with prayer, their loss with compassion, and their loved one’s life with the distinguished tribute it so richly deserves.
Harrington Funeral Home Inc. is privileged to provide its signature service of dignity, honor, and compassionate care to the Williams family during this time of remembrance and transition.
