Willie Ann Meadows born on Tuesday, February 8, 1944, in Talladega, Alabama. She was the cherished daughter of Henry and Hannah Meadows.
Willie Ann was an ardent and passionate member of Mt. Cleveland Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the Women's Missionary, Senior Choir, and as a Sunday school teacher. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, providing guidance and strength throughout her journey. Willie Ann was a proud graduate of Phyllis Wheatley High School and worked tirelessly at Wehadkee Yarn Mills.
She found immense joy and fulfillment in baking, cooking, and sewing, skills that brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her. Her love for providing delicious meals and handmade gifts was her unique way of expressing love and hospitality.
Willie Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and a profoundly missed presence, survived by her beloved children: her daughters, Ella (Columbus) Morris, Debra Meadows (Derrick) Williams, Temeka Meadows and Telesha Meadows; her sons, Tyrone (Bridgette) Meadows, Sr., Thomas Meadows and Octavious Meadows, all residing in Talladega, AL. She is also survived by her brother, Warren (Gwendolyn) Turner of Talladega, AL, and her cherished grandchildren: Tyrell Devante' Meadows, Tyrone Juan Meadows, Jr., Genea Danielle Williams, Jadarius DeWayne Darby, Jamori Dewarren Meadows, Sedryana Tanae Turner, Katerrian Stone, Kassidy Servant, Kendrick Servant, Jr., Karielle Meadows; and great-grandchild, Chloe Renayce Meadows. Willie Ann also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Peggy Lee Meadows; and brother-in-law, Kenny Duncan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including her special friend, Richard W. Eaton, Jr.
Willie Ann Meadows passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Henry and Hannah Mae Meadows; her cherished daughter, Renayce Meadows Latham; her siblings, Nora Lee Tuck, Jimmie Lou Meadows, Bessie Mae Beckley, Catherine Meadows, Mary Lois Meadows, Mae Lou Duncan, Allene Meadows, William Henry Meadows and George Meadows; and her god sister, Ella Jane Spencer.
A devoted family woman and beloved community member, Willie Ann lived a life full of love, service, and dedication both to her family and community Willie Ann's life will be celebrated and remembered fondly by all those she touched with her warmth and generosity. Willie Ann Meadows' spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, forever cherished and never forgotten.
