Mr. Charles Leamon Briggs

Charles Leamon Briggs was born November 13, 1944, in Brinkley, Arkansas, the son of Louis Briggs and Adell Jones Briggs. Charles served his country in the United States Army and worked as a brick mason for many years. Charles was a soft-spoken gentleman that enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Maxine Willis and Bobbie Avery and his stepfather Gaston Wilson. Charles transitioned on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 81.

He is survived by his wife, Fannie Webb Briggs of Blytheville, AR; a stepdaughter, Marsha Webb of Blytheville, AR and a close friend and confident, Lance Swanigan also of Blytheville, AR, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 11:00 until services begin at 1:00 in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street, Blytheville, AR

Celebration of Life Services are scheduled for 1:00 on June 18, 2026, Pastor Ivory Diamond will deliver the eulogy.

Interment is scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in Cherry Valley, Ar. The funeral processional will assemble and leave McDonald-Horne Funeral Home at 8:30am
