With profound love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Mrs. Bobbie Jean Battle, who peacefully entered eternal rest on June 10, 2026, at the age of 66.
Born on March 8, 1960, in Sandersville, Georgia, Bobbie Jean was the beloved daughter of Jeanette Wilcher and the late Willie Grant Sr. She lived a life marked by faith, compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to caring for others.
Mrs. Battle dedicated much of her life to serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Touched by an Angel. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and dedication to helping those in need left a lasting impact on countless families and individuals throughout her career.
She was united in marriage to the late Larry Lee Battle, Sr., and together they built a loving family rooted in faith and devotion.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving mother, Jeanette Wilcher; her children, Andre (Tabe) Battle, Antiko (Sherry) Battle, Antjuan (Andrea) Battle, Danyell Battle, and Kimberly Battle; and her beloved grandchildren, Aprilanne Battle, NyKoya Bryant, Shandrekes Battle, Shamira Bryant, Armani Battle, Kristan Battle, Antiko Battle Jr., Logan Warthen, Antjuan Thomas, DeAndre Battle, Ace Battle, Aubrey Battle, Kayden Battle, Austin Scott, Sahr Kendema, and Tamba Kendema.
She is also survived by her brothers, Ricky (Vivian) Grant, Willie (Mary) Grant, and Jerry (Linda) Grant; her sisters, Latrell Holmes and Elizabeth Lawrence; sisters-in-law Debbie Kitchens, Shirley (Glenn) Mincey, Rose (Lee) Carter, and Andraes Johnson; brothers-in-law Willie (Sheila) Kitchens and Floyd (Marie) Battle; her beloved aunt, Annie Brookins; devoted friends Ms. Gloria Wicker, Ms. Bernice Williams, Valeria Brown and Rev Dr Wilhelmina Jordan her godchildren , Tyteanna Poole, Christopher (Shanetra) Powell, Laquanda Wicker, Octavia Wicker, Willie (Terica) Wicker, Daniele Wicker, Stanekico Poole, and Carrion Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Mrs. Battle was preceded in death by her father, Willie Grant; her husband, Larry Lee Battle, Sr.; her son, Larry Battle Jr.; her granddaughter, Janiya Battle; and her brothers, Ronnie Johnson and Tony Lawrence.
Bobbie Jean will forever be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering strength, infectious smile, and the compassion she showed to everyone she met. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
