Mr. Edris Jackson

11/26/1942 - 06/22/2026

OFFICIAL NOTICE OF TRANSITION

It is with deep reverence and heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of our beloved Mr. Edris Jackson, a cherished resident of Valdosta, Georgia.

Born on November 26, 1942, Mr. Jackson entered this world during a remarkable era — a time when the world was finding its way through the changes of the early 1940s, when families valued togetherness, communities stood strong, and life was built upon faith, hard work, resilience, and the enduring bonds of love.

For 83 years, Mr. Jackson blessed the lives of those around him with his presence, his memories, and the imprint he left upon family, friends, and his community. After completing his earthly journey, Mr. Edris Jackson crossed the Golden Bar from labor to rest on Monday, June 22, 2026.

His transition reminds us of the timeless words from the beloved poem “Crossing the Bar” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson:

"Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea..."

Like a faithful sailor who has journeyed across life’s waters, Mr. Jackson answered the final call and peacefully crossed from the shores of this earthly life into eternal rest. The waves of struggle have settled, the journey is complete, and he has reached the peaceful harbor prepared by God.

Though we mourn his departure, we celebrate a life that was lived, a journey that was traveled, and a legacy that will continue through the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him. His story, his impact, and the moments shared with him will forever remain treasures to those blessed to have walked alongside him.

As family and friends gather in reflection, may comfort be found in knowing that Mr. Jackson’s voyage has ended not in sorrow, but in victory — not in darkness, but in the light of eternal peace.

“And I hope to see my Pilot face to face when I have crossed the bar.”

Rest peacefully, Mr. Edris Jackson. Your earthly voyage is complete. The Golden Bar has been crossed, the waters are calm, and your eternal rest has begun.

We extend our deepest prayers, love, and sympathy to the Jackson Family during this time of bereavement. May God’s grace and comfort surround you in the days ahead.
