Margaret Ann Walker was born to the late Robert Walker and Rosa Mae Morrison Walker. On June 17, 2026, she peacefully departed this life at her residence on Shelby Drive in Augusta, Georgia. Her life was characterized by her dedication to education, her love for children, her commitment to faith, and her devotion to family.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, located at 725 Beech Street, Louisville, Georgia.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church, located at 5116 Belmont Church Road, Louisville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Min, Kendrick McBride, Eulogist.
Margaret attended St. Matthew A.M.E. Church and Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church during her early years. A proud member of the Jefferson County High School Class of 1968, she later relocated to Augusta, Georgia, where she attended Fellowship Church United. Margaret devoted more than 25 years of service to the Richmond County School System, working with children with special needs. Her passion for education led her to earn a Master's Degree in Education, and she spent her career making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless students and families.
She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. William Wilson.
Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Wilson; her parents, Robert and Rosa Mae Morrison Walker; her God-parents, George and Slettie Bell McBride; her sisters, Sarah Mae Walker and Elizabeth Walker; her brother, Robert Walker, Jr.; and her God-sister, Georgia Bell Brown.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children, Shadrick Walker and Timothy Walker; her brother, Samuel (Sandra) Walker; her sisters, Judith Walker, Dorothy Landers, Marie (Leon) Stanley, and Levyette (Alton) McGruder; her nine beloved grandchildren, TyKeyah Walker, Shadricka Walker, Rosalyn Jordan, Antavious Tremble, Kha'Diah Booker, Shanique Henley, Kianna Burns, Dimitri Heath, and Daylen Davis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Margaret's legacy of faith, service, education, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, her dedication to helping others, and the lasting impact she made on her family, community, and generations of students.
