Obituary For Florie Perry Thompson

Florie " Cooter" Perry Thompson, 84, departed from this earth, Sunday, March 17, 2019 at White Oak Manor Nursing Facility in Lancaster, South Carolina .

She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Martha Moore Perry and Francis Perry. She was born on August 30, 1934 in Lancaster County South Carolina.

Florie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She served faithfully and was a member of the Church Choir and Usher Board until her health declined.

Florie was educated in the Lancaster County School System.

Florie was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Hayward Thompson, Sr. To this union six children were born.

Florie is predeceased by three sons, Ronnie, Hayward, Jr. and Bennie Thompson ; three siblings, Willa Mae Harris, Raymond Perry and Maggie B. Thompson.

Cherishing her memories are two daughters, Gloria (James) McCullough , Great Falls, SC and Arlene Thompson, Heath Springs, SC ; two sons, Gary (Cathy) Thompson and Tony Thompson both of Heath Springs, SC.; ,seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law; one son-in-law and one brother-in-law, Roscoe Thompson.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Friday, March 22, 2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Heath Springs, SC with burial in the church cemetery. Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Bennie L Stinson.

Viewing will be 2:00- 6:00 pm Thursday at Stewart Funeral Home
