Barbara Jean Hardimon, 85, of Memphis, TN passed away on June 23, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Collierville in Collierville, Tennessee. Barbara was born on September 23, 1940 to James Howell and Ella Mae Holmes Howell in Greenville, Mississippi. She is survived by five children, Kenyatta Smith, Cassandra Michelle Faniel (Felipe) of Memphis, TN, Miriam Williams, Coy Hardimon III (Sheree), and Michael Jomo Hardimon (Tabitha); thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Margaret Knox, Ernestine Gordon, Linda White, Marcia Howell, William Howell (Donna), and Michael Howell. She is preceded in death by her parents, James D Howell and Ella Mae Holmes Howell. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10th, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Homes 2944 Walnut Grove Road in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday July 11th, 2026 at Bethany Temple Outreach Ministries located at 3875 Grey Road Memphis, TN 38108.. Burial will take place 11:00AM on Wednesday July 15th at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road Memphis, Tennessee 38125.
