Telly Savalas Dasher “Kojack” was born on March 5, 1974, in Valdosta, Georgia to the parents of Brenda Dasher and the late Lester Dasher. He departed this life on June 16, 2026, in Hope Mills, North Carolina.

Telly was a graduate of the Class of 1993 of Brooks County High School in Quitman, Georgia and went on to attend DeVry University in Decatur, Georgia. He later became a truck driver. In 2005, he became the owner and operator of Carolina Transfer Incorporated.

He became a member of Hayes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.

Telly married his loving and devoted wife, Shelley Collins, on July 21, 2012. He is the father of three children: Tre’ Dasher, Devan Collins, and Ta’Lor Dasher.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Dasher, and grandparents, Dorethy and Wallace Dasher, whom we take comfort in knowing welcomed him with open arms. Though the pain of his loss is overwhelming, we find solace in the memories he left behind.

More than anything, Telly Salvas Dasher “Kojack” was devoted to his family and friends. He cherished his relationships and was a source of strength, laughter, and unwavering support to those who needed him.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Shelley Collins-Dasher; three beautiful kids: a daughter, Ta’Lor Dasher, and two sons, Devan Collins and Tre’ Dasher; mother, Brenda Dasher; grandmother, Christine Jenrette; siblings, his sister, India Dasher, and two brothers, Micheal Thompson and Anthony Dasher; one grandchild, DJ Collins; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Collins, Jr.; sister- in-law, Andrea Collins (Albert) Coleman; brother-in-law, Brandon Collins; a host of loving aunts/great aunt, Cynthia Marshall, Margie (Presiding Elder Emeritus Artie) Odom, Jr., Mary Collins (Donald), Veronica Rigans (Pervis), Dorothy George (Buddy), Joyce James, Aggie Mason (Bobby), Doris Jenrette Townsend, LaToya Dasher Horton (Johnnie), Carla Williams, Valerie Dasher-McCray (Willie), LaShondra Jenrette, Terolyn (Daryl) Baker, Danielle Jenrette, and Cora Williams (Robert); uncles, James Hunter, Kelvin Dasher (Patricia), Bruce Dasher (Christina), Anthony Cody (Vivian), Aaron Cody, Alvin Cody, MitchNewkirk (Cereca), Maurice Newkirk, Horace Newkirk, Nelson Collins, and Christopher Collins (Rita); nieces, Brittany Pettaway, Christina Odom Gilyard (Antonio), Bri’Ashia Wright, and Taliyah Singletary; nephews, Brandon Dasher, Brandon Mays, Jr., and Iverson Reynolds; a special cousin, Deborah Donaldson; and a large host of other cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2026 from 2P.M. - 7P.M. at the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home.

Homegoing services will be Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11A.M. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 1203 S. Court Street, Quitman, GA 31643. By family request, there will be no livestreaming. Burial will follow in North End Cemetery, North Reddick Road, Quitman, GA 31643.
