Bernard’s Family Funeral Care, The Eatonton Chapel announces with heartfelt sympathy the passing of Mrs. Lucy Sanford of Eatonton, Georgia. Mrs. Sanford entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Viewing and Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Bernard’s Family Funeral Care, The Eatonton Chapel, 103 Willie Bailey Street Eatonton, Georgia 31024.

A Celebration of Life Service honoring the life of Mrs. Sanford will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 100 Willie Bailey Street, Eatonton, Georgia 31024. Mrs. Sanford will lie in state an hour prior, at 10 am.

Interment and Committal Services will follow at the Eastside Eatonton City Cemetery.
