OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. James Patrick Fruge, Sr. affectionately known by his family and friends as “G-Money”, 62, who entered eternal rest on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.

Mr. Fruge’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Terry Lynn Fruge of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Chad Thierry and James Patrick Fruge, Jr., both of Opelousas, LA; one daughter, Tori Fruge of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Christopher “Scottie” Joseph and Martin Harmon, both of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Phyllis Thomas, Debra Joseph Guillory and Catina Joseph, all of Opelousas, LA and Charcee Cook of Alabama; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Martin Joseph and Bernadine Fruge; maternal grandparents, James Pete and Louise Roberts; and paternal grandparents, Alfred Joseph and Mathilda Joseph.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
