Wesley E. Sewood, age 69 of Gary, Indiana, passed away on June 19th, 2026. He was born and raised in Gary, Indiana, to Ernest Sewood and Doris Sewood (nee Lacefield).

Wesley Sewood is known for his love of God and being a great friend and good father. Wesley graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1975 and attended and graduated from Purdue University in Lafayette.

Wesley is survived by his three children, Danae, Stephanie, and Thomas Sewood; former wife and best friend Sandra Henley; sister Germaine (Julius) Bennett; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ernest and Doris Sewood, his brother Ernest Sewood Jr. and his nephews Zachary and Ernest II.

Visitation held at Guy and Allen Funeral Home 2959 W. 11th Ave., Gary, IN on Monday June 29th, 2026, from 12:00-8:00pm with family hour from 5:00-7:00pm. The funeral will be at Guy and Allen Funeral Home on Tuesday June 30th at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Fern Oaks Cemetery.
