Mr. Sammie Young, Jr. 57, of 1604 Fountain Ridge Road Chapel Hill, NC, and formerly of 622 Parkway Drive Chester, SC, departed this earthly life on Tuesday June 23, 2026, at Duke University in Durham, NC.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday June 28, 2026, at 1:30pm at Big Calvary Baptist Church in Edgemoor, SC, Rev. Dr. Rodney Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Viewing 2-6pm on Saturday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery Street Chester, SC.
