Carlese Nesby Moss, born May 8, 1945 in Wadley, GA, and a resident of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 after a brief illness.

Public viewing will be held Friday, July 17, 2026 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, James and Virginia Davis Chapel, 727 Beech Street, Louisville, GA.

Interment will be held on July 23rd in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse NY 13215.

She was preceded in death by her spouse of sixteen years, Clarence J Moss, Jr; 1 brother: Lonzie Poole; her parents: Albert Nesby and Daisy Poole; Mrs. Moss previously worked for the State of NY and retired after 40 years of employment. She served as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who helped individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live independent.

She leaves her son: Frankie Nesby (Vernida), Louisville, GA; her grandchildren; Frankie Nesby, Jr., Grovetown GA and Vaneka Nesby, Louisville, GA; two great grandchildren: Arielle McGruder and Lennox Flournoy, Louisville, GA; three sisters: Murlene White, Jamesville, NY, Mary Ann Kelly, Wadley, GA, Christine Jordan, Swainsboro, GA; one brother, Sammie Lee Harris, Wadley, GA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
