Mr. Harry Thomas, Sr., affectionately known and loved by many, was born on May 17, 1940, in Waynesboro, Georgia, to the late Daisy Mae Darien and Eddie Lee Jones. He peacefully departed this life on July 9, 2026, in Wrens, Georgia.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, July 13, 2026 at Davis Funeral Home, James and Virginia Davis Chapel, 727 Beech Street, Louisville, GA at 1:00 P.M.

Harry received his education in the Burke County School System and was a proud graduate of Wrens High School. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent many years employed at the Huddle House, where he became known as one of the area's most sought-after cooks. Through his culinary talents, he brought joy and comfort to countless people.

Outside of work, Harry found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved cooking, listening to music, and, above all, spending time with his family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his children: Shapri Thomas of Wrens, Georgia; Merkeith Lane Stapleton of Georgia; Harry Thomas, Jr. of Aiken, South Carolina; Marcus Smith and Andrew Smith, both of Augusta, Georgia.

He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Antjuan Thomas, Kanorian Thomas, Jamarius Thomas, Khyson Thomas, and Jhai'King Thomas, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Harry was preceded in death by his loving parents; his son, Lekeith Lane; his brothers, Lorenzo Thomas, Larry Thomas; and his sister, Willie Mae Thomas.

He is survived by his devoted siblings: Rosie (Carl) Thomas, Willie Thomas, K.C. Thomas, all of Wrens, Georgia; Lillie (Willie) Thomas of Louisville, Georgia; Essie Thomas, Johnny Thomas (of Wadley), Jimmy (Theresa) Thomas of Thomson, Georgia; Jessie (Stephanie) Thomas of Savannah, Georgia; Katie (Lester) Green, Robert Thomas, George Jones, Laura Jones, Mary Jones, and Willie Mae Jones, all of Augusta, Georgia.

Harry Thomas, Sr. will be remembered for his warm heart, his exceptional cooking, his love for music, and the joy he found in being surrounded by family. His legacy of love, hard work, and kindness will live on in all who knew and loved him.
