Angela Elaine Goggins

Funeral service for Mrs. Angela Elaine Goggins 76, will be Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 11 am at the Seventeenth Street Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Jeffrey Mills, pastor and Rev. Christopher Taylor, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Goggins passed away on July 5, 2026 at University of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham. Visitation will be on Monday, July 13, 2026 2-6 pm at the First Baptist Church Eastwood, 309 Vann St. SE, Jacksonville. Mrs. Goggins' remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service.

She was educated through the Princes Park School System in the United Kingdom and later earned an Associate of Science degree from Gadsden State Community College in Gadsden, AL. Mrs. Goggins was a member of First Baptist Church Eastwood, Jacksonville. She was a preschool teacher at Fort McClellan in Calhoun County, she received numerous commendations as an outstanding Child Development Program Assistant. Later she joined Cheaha Regional Head Start/Early Head Start, where she continued shaping young lives and was honored as Teacher of the Year. Angela volunteered countless hours coaching Youth T-Ball, Cheerleading, and Soccer through the Anniston Parks and Recreation Department.

Her selfless devotion to her family and community earned her recognition as an Outstanding Mother by the Lambda Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Together, Angela and Walter also served as Youth Directors for the Senior Red Circle at 17th Street Baptist Church in Anniston.

Survivors include her husband: Walter Goggins; sons: Jason (Tarah) Goggins, Anthony Goggins, Terrel (Tekeisha) Goggins and Dwayne Goggins; her grandchildren: Jenecia, Myles, Tymeria, Malija, Dwayne Jr., Yari, Samuel, Matias, Dillan, Madison, Alyssa, Aaleyah, Bella; her in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Baij Nath Randev and Ethel Tyman Ranev, her son, Anil Goggins, grandson, Anthony Anil Goggins.
