Austin, TX- It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gregory Kinsey Jr., who left this world on June 9, 2026, in Austin, Texas at the age of 42. Gregory was born on October 1, 1983, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late Gregory Kinsey Sr and Mrs. Deborah (Bridges) Kinsey. Gregory graduated in 2002 from Farrell Area High School, during his academic tenure he was an outstanding track athlete.
Gregory served our country with honor and valor in the United States Army, serving a tour of duty in Iraq. As a proud Army veteran, Gregory continued to dedicate himself to his family and community. He pursued a career in communication and information technology where his talents for information security were highly regarded.
Gregory’s laughter could light up the room, and his love for his family knew no bounds. He is survived by his devoted wife, Esraa Mohammad Izzat Abedal Qader, his loving mother, Deborah Kinsey, and his children, Amira, Ahava, Amare, Alijah, and Ayleah.
Gregory was also a proud grandfather to his granddaughter, Maleah. Gregory shared a special bond with his brothers, Gavin (Nicole) Kinsey and Tre Kinsey Sr., and his warm spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves treasured memories with a host of additional family and friends, each whom he loved.
Besides his father Gregory Sr, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Floyd and Beatrice Bridges and his paternal grandparents Everlena and Emmanuel Kinsey. Gregory was a devoted husband, loving father, and a loyal friend. His memory will continue to inspire those who loved him. Let us come together to honor his legacy and the joy he brought into our lives.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Gregory’s remarkable life at the Jaylex Event Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. A family visitation will be held at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Keith Burley officiating.
On behalf of a grateful nation, following the committal ceremony, with military honors, Gregory will be laid to rest on the sacred grounds of the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 12:45 PM for interment in Rittman, Ohio.
