OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Mary Duriso, 77, affectionately known by her family and friends as “TT”, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Rev. Dwight Brown, Pastor of St. Peter Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Ms. Duriso’s memories are being cherished by: one son, Michael Duriso of Opelousas, LA; three daughters, Evelyn Duriso and Shannon Duriso-Francis (Danny), both of Opelousas, LA) and Latoya Duriso-James (Roderick) of Lake Charles, LA; two brothers, Gerald Thomas of Opelousas, LA and Wilton Thomas of Jeanerette, LA; three sisters, Lou Wilda Stewart and Mary Ann Johnson, both of Houston, TX and Marie Thomas of Jeanerette, LA; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Paul and Alma Jolivette Durisseaux; one son, Ervin Duriso Stoot; one daughter, Tamika Denise Castille; two brothers, Freddie Benjamine, Sr. and Shabby Thomas; and two sisters, Eula Mae Durisseaux-Bolden and Hilda Turner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
