Obituary For Mrs. Loraine O'Neal Hauser

Mrs. Loraine O’Neal Houser passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the age of 60. She was born on October 31, 1958 in Columbia, Mississippi; the daughter of Annie Laura Flowers O’Neal and Stanley Barnes. Loraine was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

She was employed at Annex Restaurant for many years until her health began to fail and she retired. Loraine was known for her quick wit, infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She loved to spend time with her son, Deontae O’Neal. She also loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends.

Loraine was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Laura O’Neal Flowers; father, Stanley Barnes, and siblings, Sandra O’Neal, Bernette O’Neal, Bernard O’Neal, Preston O’Neal and Annie Ingram.

She leaves to cherish her memories one beloved son, Deontae Cornelius O’Neal of Pascagoula, MS; husband, Brit Houser, loving grandchildren, Parish Ladevin Kaper, Maiangel Alayia Jackson, and Tristen DeShun Smith; siblings, a very devoted sister, with whom she shared an unbreakable lifetime bond, Sharon O’Neal of Pascagoula, MS, Peggy (Robert) Givens, Narvel (Jacquelyn Rockford) O’Neal, Clynn O’Neal, Ronald O’Neal, and Margo O’Neal, all of Chicago, Illinois; a nephew that was near and dear to her heart, Zion Amar Clausell; devoted cousin, Millie Newsome; devoted friend, Carolyn Wess; a host of nieces, nephews, as well as, great and great-great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, April 5, 2019 at Meridian Street Church of Christ, 4524 Meridian Street, Moss Point, MS. The viewing will be from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon.

Interment will follow the services in Scranton Cemetery, Pascagoula, MS.
