Our Beautiful Mama

Peggy Tucker got her angel wings on June 30, 2026

A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on July 24th, at Hopewell Cemetery in Stoneburg, Texas.

She was born May 15, 1938 in Ryan Oklahoma to Letha Graham and Reese Harrison.

Peggy loved Jesus with all her heart. She had a great love for her children. She loved to crochet, play he piano. She was the best mama to all us kids. Mama will be truly missed. She would always say “call me when you get home so I know you’re OK”. She loved to play dominos. She always had that pretty smile on her face. She worked at Russell Newnans for many years in Saint Jo, Texas, she also worked at Hager Slacks Co. In Bowie, Texas, then she and her daughter went to school for childcare, she took care of many children here in Bowie Texas, she loved them with all of her heart.

Peggy was married to Harold Tucker (Pops) of Bowie, Texas, she loved him with all of her heart. Pops was a dad to us all, but Jesus called him home on October 10, 2021. Peggy had six children from her first marriage to Winford Woods. Sherry and Brad Sims of Bowie, TX, Wayne and Patti Wood of Nocona, TX, Eugene Wood of Bowie, TX, Penny and John Shoestaff of Bowie, TX, Ronnie Woods, and Becky Sanders. Five Stepchildren, Beck and Burl Butler, Stanley and Charlene Tucker, Ramina Scott, Stuart Tucker, and Steven Tucker. 2 sisters Betty Tucker, Peggy’s twin, and Jean Green. One brother Doug and Carol Harrison. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. Many friends. Mama and pops always told us kids to walk with God and God would walk with us for we walk by faith and not by sight. This is not Goodbye Mama, its see you in a little while. This is from all us kids we love you, mama.
