Bruce Gregory Goldsmith was born on January 11, 1960, to the late Edward and Mary Goldsmith in Louisville, Kentucky.

Supported by thirty-two family members, Bruce Gregory Goldsmith passed in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, July 17th ,2026 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

Bruce accepted our Lord and Savior and was a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and the Homeless Ministry. His hobbies were fishing and camping and admiring tree houses with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Edward and Mary Goldsmith, Bruce is preceded in death by his two daughters, Melanie Chapman and Erin Perry; brothers, Brian Goldsmith and Mark Goldsmith and his sister, Mary Kathleen Roberts.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Carol; his two daughters, Rebecca Goldsmith and Tiffany Ratliff; four sons-in-law, Patrick Chapman, Kenny Perry, Rob Horwath, and Taylor Ratliff; 15 grandchildren (Zach, Brayden, Caleb, Sammy, Andrew, Jackson, Chloe, Jayden, Owen, Ainsley, Eddie, Carolyne, Lincoln, Paxxtynn, Mylah); 9 great-grandchildren (Alex, Patrick, Willow, Jayden Grace, Alora, Delanie, Milo, Greyson, Genesis) and his sister, Sharon Curtis.

A celebration of life will be held at Central Avenue Baptist Church in Elizabethtown on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 2:00 p.m.to 4:00 pm.
