Obituary For Mattie Reid

Mattie H. Reid, 86, of Green St., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the peace and love of her home.

She was born in Lancaster County, SC, daughter of the late James A. and Albania (Morrow) Reid, retired from Tyco, a faithful member of Harris A. M. E. Zion Church for over 60 years and a member of New Anointed Christian Fellowship Ministries.

In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by her son, Michael E. Reid and grandson, Michael E. Reid, Jr. and she leaves to celebrate her life, her daughters, Lorna M. Wooten and Brenda J. McDonald; her sons, Anthony D., Troy, Jeffery and Timothy Reid; her sister, Sarah Chase; her ten grandchildren; her nine great-grands and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 30, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of Harris A. M. E. Zion Church at 915 North 17th St., with viewing 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
