Funeral service for Shalanda Blackmon, 43, of Auburn, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL 36832, Reverend Robert Strickland, Officiant and Eulogist.

Mrs. Blackmon, who passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born September 24, 1982 in Cleburne County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Courtney Blackmon of Auburn, AL; two children, Kourtnei Blackmon of Eastern Shore, MD and Kandess Blackmon of Auburn, AL; father, Oscar David of Smith Station, AL; two sisters, Dominique David of Columbus, GA and Lakeniya (Lee) Drummond of Navarre, FL; two brothers, Kendal Phillips of Navarre, FL and Jameral Reese of Auburn, AL; two aunts, Belinda Gail (Hector) Santiago of Saks, AL and Mary Denise McDaniel of Heflin, AL; four uncles, James (Mary Jane) Phillips, Keith Phillips, Jeffery Phillips all of Heflin, AL and Thomas (Carmen) David of Westland, MI; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cody and JoAnn Blackmon of Auburn, AL; sister-in-law, Laquita (Curtis) Richardson of Jacksonville, AL; a devoted friend, Janine (Anthony) Barnes of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
