Obituary For Ms. Joan Evans

Joan “JoAnn” Evans, daughter of the late Gardenia (Calvin) Evans Paige, the late Morris and Bertha Evans was born on December 13, 1952 in Dillon County, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, South Carolina.

She was educated in the Dillon County Public Schools and graduated from Dillon High School, Dillon, South Carolina in the class of 1973.

She worked with Mutual Funeral Home and the King’s Family for thirty plus years.

She was a life time member of Manning Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the Gospel Choir, the Inspirational Choir and the Birthday Ministry.

She was preceded in death by ~ her parents; grandparents; one sister: Tammie Paige and two brothers: Perry Evans and Dwayne Paige.

“JoAnn” leaves to cherish loving memories ~ one son: Frederick K. Evans; two loving daughters: Kimberly (Robert) Porter and Shameka Evans; five god-children: Jonas Page, Pamela, Kacey, Aubyn and Shraja King McRae; nineteen grandchildren: Zikera, Kaziah, KeAzjah, Za’Miya, Lawrence, Aaryn, Tristan, Madyson, Yasmine, ZiRia, Ja’Ziah, Khaliyah, Vodeja, Nicholas, Donovan, Kendrick, Zaiden, Za’Cari, Tyree and TyQuan; one great grandson: Antron Jr; one aunt/sister: Patricia Carmichael of Birmingham, Al; six sisters: Janet Paige, Debra Paige both of Elizabeth, NJ, Deborah Page, Letha Page both of Dillon, SC, Sylvia Page of Irvin, NJ, Alisha King of Salisbury, MD; six brothers: Bilai Muhammad, James Page, Johnny Page all of Dillon, SC, Eric Page, Khabir Abdul “Kenny” both of Elizabeth, NJ, the Rowell family; four soul sisters: Shirley Lane, Ethel Manning, Ruth McLeod and Brenda Robinson; one special friend: Edward ”Buck” Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
