Henry Allen Crawford was born February 28th,1955 in Rutherford County, to the late Leonard Sr. and Emma C. Akins Crawford of Murfreesboro, TN. He departed this life July 23rd , 2026, after extended illness while admitted to the Waters Nursing home facility.

Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by sisters Bessie (Leon) Barnes, Margreat (Leory) Barnes, brothers, Leonard Jr. and Jimmy Crawford.

He is survived by nephews, Byron (Helen) Barnes, Darren (Contonia) Barnes of Murfreesboro, Tn., Fredrick (Sherri) Barnes, Zachary (Melissa) Barnes of Rockvale, Tn., Mike (Mike) Barnes/McVeigh of Portland, Oregon, nieces, Syronda (Tim) Johnson of Rockvale, Tn., Emma Crawford of Ohio and sister In-law Cathy Crawford of Ohio. Special place in his heart for God-children, Carlos & Chasity (Chaz) Peebles.

Henry Crawford was a believer in Christ and professed that faith under the leadership of the late, Pastor Joe Battles, whom he loved as a mentor. If you knew Henry at all, either by talking with or visiting, you ask him how he was doing and his response, “I’m fine” even when his body told a different story. Now it can truly be said, “I’m fine” and true because, “to be absent from the body is it to be present with the Lord”! 2 Corinthians 5:8.

Family Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 4-6:00 pm with funeral service to follow at Hellum Funeral Chapel.
