Milissee Tucker

Milissee Tucker was born on April 19, 1939 in Quitman, Georgia to the late Eddie Harris and late Eva Peterson. She received her education in the Brooks County School System.

Milissee relocated to Cleveland, Ohio and married the love of her life, Lloyd H. Tucker. They welcomed one child, Marsha Kaye.

When her husband retired, they came back to Georgia. She joined Bethel CME where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Usher Board. After a long illness with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, she quietly departed this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Grace Manor in Savannah, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd H. Tucker and her sisters, Mary Robinson and Julia Harris.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughter Marsha K. Mays (Derrick); her grandchildren, Derrick N. Mays, Jr. (Jasmine), Kennedy A. Mays and Ryan O. Mays; great grandchildren, Sage Elizabeth and Emma Grace. She also leaves family and friends who will remember her forever.


Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 5-7PM.

Home going services will be Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 11AM at Bethel CME Church, 702 Johnson St, Valdosta Ga 31601. Burial will follow in North End Cemetery. Continue to pray along with the family during this trying time.
