Charlotte Marie Weems Sutton, 77, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern. She was born April 4, 1948, in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, to the late James Weems and Trula Pratt.

Charlotte worked as an electrician and was employed with Oak Ridge National Laboratories.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Ernest Olanda Sutton III, Greenville, North Carolina, and Charles Kenneth Sutton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters, Angelika Sutton Dobkin, Monsey, New York, and Jaime Sutton Varner, Knoxville, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
