Obituary For William "Tee" Rhodes

William J Rhodes, AKA Tee, was born May 2, 1938 to Mr. Herbert Rhodes and Mrs. Mary Carry Rhodes. He passed away March 29, 2019 at home.

He attended Durham Public School.He was employed at Patrick Sign Studio in Washington D.C and also was employed by McDermott Oil in Louisiana.

Tee enjoyed blues music, fishing, playing the lottery, and having a drink of Seagram Gin.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Shirley, his daughters Stella Rhodes and Betty Rhodes of Durham N.C.; two sisters Inez (Curtis) Rhodes, Alice Owens of Durham N.C.; three brothers Roland Rhodes, Carnell Rhodes of Durham N.C., Jimmy Owens of Durham N.C.; step children Karrie Archibald of Durham N.C., Nate (Sophia) Archibald JR of Lexington N.C.; brother in laws Kim (Brenda) Dixon of Dinwiddie V.A., Adam (Angela) Dixon of Dinwiddie V.A.; sister in laws Nora (Ronald) Rhodes of Ridgeway S.C, and Linda Dixon Johnson of Dinwiddie V.A. and a host of grand children, great grand children, great great children,nephews, nieces and cousins. Family members that passed before him, sisters Naomi Rhodes, Lucille Rhodes, Dorothy Rhodes, Deltha Rhodes; brothers Haywood Rhodes, David Rhodes, Donald Rhodes, Jasper Rhodes, Ronald Rhodes, Coleman Rhodes, John Rhodes and Herbert Rhodes Jr.

Special acknowledgement to Mrs. Hattie Smith Rhodes And his beloved daughter Wanda Rhodes, one special Aunt Louise (John) Rhodes of Durham N.C.

Homegoing service will be at Holloway Memorial Funeral, 2502 NC Hwy 55, Durham, NC., on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 2:00 pm, visitation at 1:00 pm.
