Life Reflection A TIME TO BE BORN Ray Williams was born to the late I.J. Williams and Ella Lofton Williams in Simpson County, Mississippi. Where he attended Harper Vocational High School. During his school years, he developed a passion for football and because of his athletic ability was offered a scholarship.

AS AN ADULT, HIS ROOTED JOURNEY Seeking new opportunities, Ray left his hometown and relocated to Chicago, Illinois where he met and married the love of his life Rosie Williams. Together they built a loving home and were blessed with two sons, Dana Williams and Tony Williams. Ray worked and retired from the famous American catalog retailer Spiegel. He was a devoted husband, proud father, and a man who cherished his family. He was also known for keeping his neighborhood clean. Ray enjoyed taking a drive back to his roots in Mississippi, where the annual family reunions and revivals would take place which created long lasting and treasured memories for generations to come. All who knew him most definitely witnessed the comical side of him.

A TIME TO ANSWER HIS CALL On Wednesday July 15, 2026 Ray Williams peacefully entered into eternal rest with his loving and devoted wife by his side. Ray leaves to cherish his precious memory-his loving wife Rosie Williams; his beloved sons Dana Williams and Tony Williams; his sisters Vernie Ruth Burton (Freddie) of Magee, Mississippi, and Hazel Clinkscales (Donald) of Chicago, Illinois along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
