Betty Jillian Porter, daughter of Debbie Porter and the late Warren Ray, was born in Harrisburg, PA.
She transitioned leaving behind a legacy of unwaivering faith, boundless love and selfless service. She loved God, and her life was a reflection of her love for God and family.
Betty was reared in Harrisburg and raised in the New Hope Living Baptist Church, where her spiritual foundation was firmly rooted at an early age. She received her notable growth award as well as her GED. She was a dedicated and hard working woman. She was employed with Maximus Healthcare.
She loved to sing and was on the praise and worship team at her church All Nations, and wherever she was needed.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Warren Ray; her grandfather, Pete Porter; her grandfather, Cleveland Wade; her grandmother, Betty Williams and her grandmother, Pastor Elista Waters.
She leaves to cherish precious memories of her, her mother, Debbie Porter; her daughter, Tyquassia "Ty" Porter; her brothers, Pete (Tia) Porter, Darryl Shaw, Tre Warren Anderson and Fareed Ray; her sisters, Dorothy Ray and Dequadra Taylor; her aunts, Karen Porter and Mary Edith (Derrek); her uncle, James H. Porter III; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Betty's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 in the Sanctuary of New Hope Living Baptist Church, 395 S. Second Street, Steelton with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
