With hearts filled with gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life and legacy of Mr. Imayak “Sam” Umoh, 52, of Milledgeville, Georgia, who passed away peacefully July 15, 2026, in Eatonton, GA, surrounded by family.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at The Plaza Arts Center, located at 305 N Madison Ave, Eatonton, Georgia 31024. Visitation with family will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Abundant Life Word Fellowship, US 441, 222 Milledgeville Hwy, Eatonton, Georgia 31024.

Born on October 28, 1973, in Manchester, England, to Dr. Nseobong Fred Umoh and Mercy Umoh, Imayak, the oldest of three and the only son, lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to others.

He was known to family simply as “Uncle Sam” or “Bruh-Law”—a testament to the deep affection and respect he inspired in all who knew him. Imayak had a heart of gold and was always just a phone call away, ready to lend a hand, and a listening ear.

Imayak is preceded in death by a son, Nseobong Nseobong “Georgie” Umoh.

He leaves behind a rich legacy of love and family. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Kimberly Umoh; his loving children, Jeremi (Gabriela) Johnson of Pendergrass, GA, Uri-Kimtrell Johnson, Glory-Joy Umoh, and a niece he raised as his own, Tanisha Johnson, of Milledgeville, GA; adopted daughter Tehmie (Michael) Ogunwande of Conyers, GA; a precious granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Johnson and adopted grandson Ara Ogunwande.

He is also survived by his parents, Elder Dr. Nseobong Fred Umoh and Mercy Umoh of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria; Sisters, Ofonimeh Abudu (Remi) of Kent, United Kingdom and Mmanti Umoh of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria; A special mention of nephews Akaninyene Umoh, Uduakobong Umoh and niece MiKayla Umoh of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. His sister-in-laws Mary D. Kelly, Sophia Johnson, Nolen McCall (Torey), Shannon (James) Carey, Rosanne Pryor, Lois (Leroy) Cordes, Olivia (Lee) Caldwell, Ora Boatright, Laura Smith; his brother-in-laws: James (Tina) Dickerson, Sr., Michael Kelly, Earl Johnson, Dwayne Johnson (Kerri), Ronnie (Sparkles) Fields, Dennis (Eloise) Kelly Sr., David (Vivian) Kelly; His uncle Dr. N. George (Enobong) Utuk, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed by his love, kindness, and enduring presence.
