Officer Grant. OMG!!! When we met at St. Lucie Regional Detention Center, you were humble and you remained humble. We talked and found out that I knew your Lovely Mother, Gretta Hyatt. I will cherish the relationship we had, and the reports your ran for me for the School Board. When you were on vacation or with the Army Reserve, I missed you and would let you know at Thursday morning Detention Review that I missed you, upon your return. May your Soul Rest In Peace. I had the privilege of meeting and working with Officer Grant. She was a very humble, mild mannered, and regimented woman. Her demeanor never changed. She was committed to whatever she did. She listened well and followed true with instructions. She was the epitome of a great Detention Officer. Although I left the detention center, that did not change our relationship. It saddens my heart to see her leave so soon. She will be greatly missed. Sleep in peace my love, your memory lives on. JPOS Campbell If Officer Grant had a change to leave a note before she closed her eyes I think this is what she would have said: Remember me: To the living, I am gone To the sorrowful, I will never return To the angry, I was cheated But to the happy, I am at peace And to the faithful I have never left. I cannot be seen, but I can be heard. So, as you stand upon the shore Gazing at the beautiful sea Remember me, As you look upon a flower And admire its simplicity – remember me. Remember me in your heart, your thoughts And your memories of the time you loved me The time I cried, the times I fought and the times we laughed. For if you always think of me I will never have gone.

Officer Grant, thank you for being a part of the DJJ team. I retired and left you to hold up the Image in being an awesome employee. Your soft spoken words will never be forgotten. Your support when my son left to serve our country was sincere. You'll be greatly missed. But, the almighty has a better place for you. Sleep peacefully. Ms. Horton and Family
