Jana Nicole Morris, age 42, was born on May 26, 1984, at Naval Hospital, Guam and passed away on July 28, 2026 in Sarasota, Florida.

Jana will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the genuine joy she found in bringing people together. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with her family and friends, whether sharing a meal, celebrating special occasions, or simply enjoying each other's company. Her warm, welcoming nature made those around her feel valued, and she had an ability to make lasting memories through laughter, conversation, and togetherness. Jana's greatest passions were food and the culinary arts. She delighted in exploring new flavors, preparing meals, and sharing her love of cooking with those she cared about. For Jana, food was an expression of love and source of happiness to the people in her life.

Above all else, Jana loved her son, Xander, with all her heart. He was the center of her world, and she devoted herself to his happiness and well-being. Her unwavering love, support, care for him, and the bond they shared will remain a lasting testament to her greatest role.

Jana is survived by her son, Xander Jacobson; her mother, Ester; her father, Neal (Glenda); her brother, Johnathan; her sister, Amaya; and her maternal grandmother, Esperanza San Miguel. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends to cherish her memory and the love she shared. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Juan San Miguel; fraternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Morris; cousin, Anthony Annis; and dear friend, Billie Jean Fujikawa.

Visitations will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Light of the World International. She will be interned at Palm-Robarts Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
