George Edward Adams was born on September 14, 1930 to the late John Quincy Adams and Luvenia Boykin Adams. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, April 2, 2019.

George was a life-long brick mason. He was married to Marine Colvin on September 14, 1951. To this union they were blessed with eleven children.

George was preceded in death by his parents; ten siblings; two children: George Jr. and Deloris.

George leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories ~ his wife of sixty-seven years: Marine Adams of the home; his children: Ann Smith, John Adams both of Winston Salem, NC, Georgia (Larry) Ford, Samuel Adams both of Dillon, SC, Shelton Blakely of Danville, VA, Mildred Marie Thompson of Charlotte, NC, Karen Smith of Rowland, NC, Charles Adams of Dillon, SC, Thomas (Mercina) Adams of Winston Salem, NC; siblings: Rosalee Adams of New York, Aline Underwood, Julia Mae (Lonnie L.) McRae, Bessie Mae (Willie) Johnson all of Winston Salem, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
