I am so sorry for your loss. I miss my friend, but I will forever remember her smile and her voice when she spoke. I am so sorry I did not get the opportunity to say good bye, but I am sure we will meet again. RIP my friend. Norphenia Salter

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Evon. She worked tirelessly in all endeavors she involved herself in. For many years, we had the pleasure of entertaining in the Las Encantadoras Social Club where we became closer. I seldom missed the opportunity to attend meetings when she hosted & vice versa. Many times, she, Laresia, Bernice & I stayed to chat after the larger group left. I can truly say that I obtained wisdom for a lifetime from her comments & nonjudgmental attitude. I will love you forever for that my Sister. When we spoke last- she was sharing her grand daughter's success & happiness at Hampton University. My prayers for Pat, Valerie, Ted, Corey and the entire Billups Family. Keep the many beautiful memories in your hearts forever! God cares & will continue to be with you. Psalms 34:18

Ms Evonne was a Virtuous woman. Whatever she did she gave it her best, her all in all. She made a tremendous contribution to the Lovejoy Family as a tireless Head of our Kitchen Staff and CFO of Lovejoy Community Service. She did those special, unexpected things for me and my wife. We love her with our all. We all were blessed to have her in our lives. We plan to see her again some sweet day. Carey Ingram

There are many memories of love that I remember of Ms Evon. One in particular was when I stayed with her for my Senior Prom because my sister's college graduation was that same weekend (out of town.) Ms Evon welcomed me into her home and treated me like I was her own daughter. That was just the kind of spirit I aways remember her to be. She was a giver and didn't expect anything in return, she loved people and would do all within her power to see others happy. Ms. Evon was loved dearly and will surely be missed. I am so grateful that I got a chance to speak to her a few days ago and the last words we said to each other were, I love you. To the family, you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Much love to you all. Marvin & Michelle (Ingram) Crawford

Our hearts are deeply saddened with the passing of our dearly Beloved, Evon. I taught Evon in her 11th grade English class. She was always a very serious student and was an exceptionally smart student as well. I loved her then as now, and we have always had a very special place in our hearts for her. "Because He lives, (we) can face Tomorrow." Rest in Perfect Peace, Evon. We shall see you again. Family, we will continue to keep you lifted in Prayer that God will grant unto Each of you that Peace that only He can give. Love and Blessings to you All. John and Laney Stevenson

Evon will forever have a home in my heart. She was my Brooke’s first sitter, and believe me, I wouldn’t trust just anybody to keep my baby. Family, my thoughts are with you. Evon, rest in Paradise. Love, Jennifer
