Obituary For Mr. David Jr. Bethea

David Bethea Jr. was born on January 1, 1955 to the late Annie Ruth Bethea and David Bethea Sr. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 14, 2019.

David was educated in the public schools of Dillon County, South Carolina. He worked in a variety of fields, but his love was working as a Duct Work Technical for Dillon Heat and Cooling. He enjoyed several hobbies such as fishing, playing pool and cards. He also loved mentoring and joking with others of all walks of life. David was well loved and respected by his family and community.

David was preceded in death by his mother: Annie R. Bethea, father: David Bethea Sr, two sisters: Jennifer Ruth Bethea and Linda Bethea; one brother: Winston Billings.

David Jr. leaves to cherish his loving and fond memories ~ five daughters: Brandy Short, Lasandra Bethea, Candace Bethea (Tyrone Rose), Monifah Peterson all of Dillon, SC and Danja Bethea of Texas; five sisters: Betty (Johnnie) Manning, Shirley Mae Bethea, Claretha Bethea, Patricia (Lee) McLean, and Anna (James) McInnis; one brother: Jack Bethea; six aunts: Mildred McLeod, Lee Billings, Mae Billings (also recognized as his second mother and grandmother to his children), Arthea Crawford, Queene Mae McLaughlin, Emma Mae Bethea; one uncle: WC Bethea; seventeen grandchildren; seventeen grandchildren, one great grand; eighteen nieces and nephews; a very special nephew that he loved as his own and stuck by his side until his death: Johnnie L. Manning Jr; a very, very special grandson that he cared for and loved as his own son: Kwh’Meiz McNair.
