Obituary For Mrs. Hattie Barnes

Mrs. Hattie Bell Mingo Barnes entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 15, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Estelle Tate Mingo. She was born March 19, 1935 in Kershaw, South Carolina.

Hattie accepted Christ at an young age and joined Cedar Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

Hattie was educated in the Liberty Hill Schools. She faithfully participated in the school reunions annually. Hattie retired from Springs Industries after twenty years of service.

Hattie was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie Barnes, Jr

Cherishing her memories are three daughters, Willa B. Harris of Upper Marlboro, MD, Barbara B. Mc Ilwain (Terry) of Lancaster , SC and Jacquelyn Rushing of Heath Springs, SC two sons, Albert L. Barnes and Billy L. Barnes of Heath Springs, SC; five brothers, Sam Mingo, Jr., and Winthrop Mingo of Washington, DC, Willie R. Mingo and Reverend George Mingo (Patricia )of Heath Springs, SC, Henry H. Mingo (Linda), Buffalo, NY; one sister, Mable Ferrell of Bridgeport, Conn ; one uncle, O.C. Tate (Catherine) of Lancaster, SC; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday at Cedar Rock Baptist Church by the Reverend Jerusha Gaither and Reverend George Mingo with burial in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Friday. Family will receive friends 5:00 - 6:00 pm and The Eastern Stars will conduct the Burial Rites Ceremony during that time.
