Obituary For Alfonso Hills

Alfonso Hills was born on June 27, 1939, in Pulaski, GA., to the late Willie Lee Hills, and Willie Mae Simmons Hills. He was the oldest of 9 to this union. Alfonso received his basic education through the Bulloch County Public School District.

As a child he attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Alfonso enjoyed helping his family as well as racing cars and going fishing with his buddies. Once he became of age he moved to Fort Pierce, FL., following his Aunt Louis Hills Blocker. Alfonso worked many years in citrus as a crew leader for Dale Cassen Grove Services.

On April 9, 2019 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center he closed his eyes.

He leaves behind his sons ’Anthony and Jerome Hills both of Fort Pierce, FL., Step sons' Walter Freeman (Diane Freeman) of Baltimore, Maryland, Jose Santana (Linda Santana) of Fort Pierce, Louis Santana of Fort Pierce, FL., Step daughters Joann Martin (Wallace Martin) of Fort Pierce, FL., Queenie Santana of Bradenton, FL., Arminda Santana of Bradenton, FL., and Barbara Jean-Santana of Bradenton, FL., Brothers, Archie L. Hills, and Arthur L. Hills of Fort Pierce, Fl., Albert Hills of Ocala, FL., Lenory Hills, Joseph Hills, and Jefferey Hills of Statesboro, GA., Sisters ’Eileen Hills Stanley of Claxton, GA., Annie Hills, and Alma Hills of Statesboro, GA., Burnetta (Wayne) Oglesby of Register GA., and Naomia E. Hills of Register GA., and Stepmother Jerline Lockhart of Statesboro, GA., and a host of grandchildren.

Public visitation for Mr. Hills will convene on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 10:00am-11:00am at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:00am at Stone Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Pierce, FL. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park in Fort Pierce, FL.
