Obituary For James Henry Taylor

DEACON JAMES HENRY “WEED” “FRISCO” TAYLOR – Age 85, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elder Odessa Evalyn Ellison Taylor, parents, Clifford Taylor, Sr. and Elquin Suttles Taylor, son, Rodney Taylor, sisters, Daisy Johnson, Darlene Kemp, Eleanor Hagans, brothers, Sgt. Joe Marvin “Sonny” Taylor, and Clifford Taylor, Jr.

He is survived by his loving and devoted son, Dr. Bishop Nicky Paul (Elder Gale) Starling; grandchildren, Elder Melissa (Brian Keith) Parks, Elder LaTasha (Raymond) Love, Minister Nichole Hunt, Stacy (DeWayne) Bonds, Tracy (Edward) Brabson, Carmishia Young, Kemon Watson, Keshun Taylor; twenty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; sister, Sophie Barton; brother-in-law, Charlie H. Ellison, Jr.; special niece, Rosalyn Taylor; special deacon, Dea. Steve Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 1:00 P. M. at New Harvest Church of Ministries, 314 North Fredrick Street, Dalton, Georgia, 30721 with Dr. Bishop Nicky Paul Starling as Eulogist and Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr., Presiding. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Monday after 11:00 A. M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was my father (Ronald Beavers) roommate at Wooddale nursing home. He was such a blessing to my father and to our whole family by watching over my Dad and by sharing stories with him about their young days and mutual friends. My sympathy to his family. Rhonda Beavers
