Obituary For Phyllis LaJune Pruitt Harris

MRS. PHYLLIS LaJUNE PRUITT HARRIS - Age 63, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Monday, April 22, 2019. She was born on September 18, 1955 to the late Joel Pruitt and Elizabeth Gay Pruitt. Phyllis was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church and a graduate of Cass High School Class of 1973. She was employed for many years as a bank teller. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ora Lee Brown, Marie Pruitt, and two brothers, John R, Pruitt and Joel Herman Pruitt.

Survivors are her two sons, DeWayne Washington, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia and Quincy (Taia) Harris of Cartersville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Nasir, Xavier, Ari and Titan Harris; sister, Deborah Johnson of Cartersville, Georgia; brother, Kenneth (Debra) Woodard of Fayetteville, Georgia; aunts, Roberta Rasberry of Jacksonville, Florida, Thelma Gay of Cartersville, and Estelle Hardy of Atlanta, Georgia; uncle, Willie (Rowena) Gay of Indiana; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing Service will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1 Mount Olive St., Cartersville, Georgia 30120, with Pastor Randy Livsey and other Ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Saturday after 11:00 A.M. and the family will receive friends at the church one hour before service. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery.
