Obituary For Mr. Travis Leland Head

Travis Leland Head was a devoted husband and father. He was a loving brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. After an inspiring fight against a number of illnesses over many years, he finally put down his boxing gloves and God called for Travis on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.

Travis was born October 26, 1961 in Griffin, Georgia. He was the youngest of two sisters and one brother born to the late Otis Head Sr. and Bertha N. Head. He received his early childhood education in the Spalding County School System of Griffin, Georgia. He later earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Shortly after graduating Griffin High School, Travis met his bride of 34 years Angela D. Head. They were married August 24, 1985. To this union, they were blessed with three daughters to whom Travis affectionately referred to as his “THREE PRINCESSES “: Trellis L. Head, Alicia S. Head, and Briana S. Head. Travis’s love of God and Christian Beliefs were always foremost in the raising of his family. As a family they were proud members of Greenforest Baptist Church.

Travis worked for many different advertising and marketing companies including the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Auto Trader.Com with Cox Enterprises both in Atlanta, Georgia. He also worked at WKEU in Griffin, Georgia in his early years. Along with his professional interest, Travis was a lover of Tennis and music. He will truly be missed and will continue to live in the hearts of all of whom he has met during his life. His legacy will definitely continue through those whom he leaves behind.
