Obituary For Mr. Ronald Smith

Funeral service Mr. Ronald D. Smith, 53 of Tyler will be held on Saturday, 11am at College Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Johnny P. Tillman. serving as eulogist.

Burial will follow in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company. Mr. Smith was born on June 13, 1965 and transitioned on April 16, 2019. He was a graduate of New Diana ISD and received his associate degree from Tyler Junior College.

He was a resident of Smith County for over 20 years. Mr. Smith was a Supervisor for Church's Chicken and a member of the Alpha Tau Alpha (ATA) Fraternity from Tyler Junior College.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Those left to cherish his memories are spouse, Gail Smith, Tyler; father, Percy Smith, Gilmer; son, Gerron Starling, Tyler; daughters, Charmaine Barker (Russell), Houston, Shanita Farmer (Derek), Tyler, LeKesha McCoy (Bendrick), Mesquite; brothers, Sammy Smith (Sue) and Michael Smith, both of Gilmer; sister, LaNale Caldwell, Tyler. He also leaves four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends and coworkers.
