Funeral service will be at Mt. Calvary United Church of Christ, 1715 Athens Avenue, Durham, NC. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm, visitation at 12noon.

Dear Downey Family, I never met your dear Mother and only know some of her children and one of her beautiful grandchildren, Evan, but I can honestly say that I love those of her family that I know with my whole heart. I am so terribly sorry at the loss you have suffered and I hope you feel God's loving care and compassion at this time. I know the pain is deep and the loss will be felt for a long time to come but I also know but this is not the end of your time with your dear Mom because a resurrection is promised and it is very close on the horizon.
