Right now, when your loss is so fresh, it may be difficult for you to imagine that this pain will ever go away. But in time the blessing of God's unfailing love will soften the hurt you're feeling and bring your heart the peace, comfort and hope that it needs to heal. How? Revelation 21:4 tells us that soon everything that causes us pain, including death, will be gone forever. We also have the hope of our loved ones being resurrected here on a paradise earth, as Acts 24:15 tells us. I do hope you find comfort in this. Though I did not know Derrick I am touched by your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. (JW.org).

Heavy was a good friend and a great servant of the Lord. God must have needed a new Angel, so he called one of his best home. Heavy had a joke and a smile every time you saw him or talked to him on the phone. When you left him you always had a smile and felt uplifted and his smile was fully loaded with engaging sincerity and wit. My heart goes out to Diamond and the rest of the family who will surely miss having such a delightful person within their midst. Diamond, your father always bragged about how wonderful you were. I hope you know that you meant the world to him. The loss of one’s parent marks one of the most profound rites of passage in our life. Remember, no matter wherever he is, he’ll always be watching over you. He will stay with you forever. Yet, because he had fully embraced the tenets of the Christian faith, we can all be assured that Heavy lives and can never really die! He has simply transitioned to a place void of fear, care, suffering, and pain. Without doubt, I am convinced that when lifted from this earth, he was instantaneously transfigured into the presence of God Almighty and His Son, Jesus. The smile we experienced on earth, as radiant as we remember, cannot compare to what I imagine found itself on Heav’s face when he stood in awe before God. To everyone, take joy, for Heav is smiling, he is happy and he is at peace. Heartfelt, Patti Baltimore
