Mr. Jimmy Lewis Clark also known as J Love was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina on October 9, 1963 to Leila Mae Odoms Clark and the late Lewis Calvin Clark. He departed this life on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, North Carolina.

Jimmy was formerly employed at Carolina Solvent in Hickory NC until his illness.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Hannah Clark and Eli and Lathy Odoms and his girlfriend, Annie Lee Black.

He leaves to cherish loving memories, his mother, Leila Mae Odoms Clark of Shelby, NC; one brother, Anthony Jerome Clark of Lawndale, NC; three sisters, Jo Ellen Bradshaw and Frances Carolina Clark both of Lawndale and Lisa Jean Logan of Shelby; six aunts, Annie Mae Ussery, Martha Clark, Mary Ann Odoms, Sally Hill (Eddie), Julie Mae Smith and Lilly Clark; one uncle, A.C. Haynes; five special nephews, Morrio Clark, Lucentio Clark (Tianna), Angelo Lee, Joshua Clark and Jaquon Clark; three special nieces, Anisha Clark, Tyesha Logan, Rachel Camp; special cousins, Lynn and Charles Byrd, Helen Kee, Corine Lee, Eunice Wimbush, Wanda Clark, Dwayne Lee, Angela Moses, Bessie Lockhart, Lizzie Russell, Lamont Lee and Doris Haynes; special friend, James Kee; “step-children”, Brenda Brooks Wimbush, Leon Brooks and Bobby Gene Brooks and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church Lawndale. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM at the church. In addition to his address the family is also meeting at the home of his mother, Leila Mae Clark, 905 Airport Road Apt. 112 in Shelby.
