William Johnson, 72, died on Friday, May 3, 2019 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, SC. He was the son of Loree Patterson and the late James William Johnson.

William, affectionately known to his family and friend as "Will" accepted Christ at an early age and joined Bright Light Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending service and was a faithful member until his health declined.

Will was educated in the Lancaster County School System. He was a 1965 graduate of Hillside High School.

Will began his working career at a young age. He retired from Springs Industries after twenty five years of service.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son , William Cunningham of Lancaster, SC; his mother, Loree P. Johnson of Lancaster, SC; three sisters, Barbara J. Bracey, Annie J. Stinson (Myron), and Maria J. Blackmon ( Lamar) all of Lancaster, SC; one brother, Harry Lee Johnson, Lancaster, SC; three grandchildren, five aunts, Inez Wright, Willie Mae Drakeford, Dora Mingo and Mary McCoy all of Lancaster, SC and Louise Ramsey of Charlotte, NC; two uncles, Otis Patterson (Mary Esther) and Jerry Patterson both of Lancaster, SC and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Bright Light Baptist Church.

Viewing will be at the funeral home Wednesday, 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
