Obituary For Mrs. Deanna Page Leach

Deanna Page Leach affectionately known as “Sister” or “Sister Page,” daughter of the late Addie Lillie Bell Bethea Page and Elijah “Doc” Page was born on June 16, 1931 in Dillon County, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Monday, May 6, 2019 at her residence.

Deanna attended the public schools of Dillon County, South Carolina. She worked hard all of her life working in the tobacco, cotton and cucumber fields and was an entrepreneur of her own business to provide for her family; and anyone that stepped foot in her house would eat a meal. Sis. Page also was a caregiver for many Sharecroppers families.

Deanna worshiped with McCoy’s Chapel United Methodist Church and Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, South Carolina. She loved to cook, fish and enjoyed family and friends with many family gatherings.

Deanna Page Leach was joined in holy matrimony to the late James Willie “Pete” Leach, and to this union four children were born.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Samuel Bethea “SB” Page, John Henry Page; two grandsons: Leontrice Manning and Ronnie Kemon Leach.

Sis. Page leaves to cherish fond and loving memories ~ a son: Frankie (Cynthia) Page of High Point, NC; three daughters: Annie Page of Columbia, SC, Eva Mae Leach, Yolanda Leach both of Dillon, SC; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; a special cousin: Benson Stackhouse; a special friend: Thelma Davis; her extended Jones Family of Latta, SC and the Howze Family of High Point, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
