I got to know Bishop Beard not too long ago. Other than my pastor, Bishop Beard was the first Pastor/ Bishop to ever allow me to preach from his pulpit. The message I preached, unknown to me that he had been battling cancer, was “it is not over yet until God says is over”. Well Bishop, God said your work on earth is over. Sleep well Bishop until we meet again. To the family, I say take heart and remember Bishop lived a life worthy to be accepted in God’s kingdom.
