We are saddened to hear you are grieving the recent loss of your precious Zariyah. In these tough moments, Psalms 34:18 is very comforting. Hello Vandergriff Family, I'm a neighbor living in the area. Having heard of your most recent, and very tragic loss, I want to leave you a brief post. I too, well know the grief of losing love ones, and that at times like these, it is encouraging just to know that others are thinking about us. Something that has really helped me to cope with such losses, is the wonderful promise of Christ Jesus, recorded for our comfort at John 5 ; 21. I hope, that when you are feeling up to it, that you are going to look up this powerful Scripture, in your copy of The Bible. I have been trying to wrap my mind around this every since I got the news. Zariyah was a sweet little girl and a joy to teach this year. I was one of her 1st grade teachers and God allowed me to be one of her finally school teachers down on this natural Earth. I loved Zariyah so much. She loved the Lord, her family, church family, singing, dancing, playing, cheerleading, and playing basketball. I know that Little ZZ is an angel up in Heaven. She is absent from her time on Earth and present with my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Hayes will forever love and remember our years at Lillington Shawtown. Cora and family, my prayers are with you all. Thanks for allowing me into your family. Thanking for allowing me to teach and love Zariyah like my own.

Zariyah was a sweet little girl! She loved her friends and teachers. She loved to dance! I was so blessed to be her teacher last school year and will treasure all of the memories we made! She will be a shining light up in heaven for sure!

My little cousin was always respectful .When you see her she had that beautiful smile ,and would always run up,and hug you anywhere she sees you. Im really going to miss her cause everyday at school she would run up and give me a hug ,and then she would say I love you,and I would say love you to boo,and have a nice day .She would reply you to.
